trE, that’s incredible! What a wonderful “New Year resolution” of sorts! And you are absolutely right, proclaiming the goal is the first step towards pursuing the goal!
My fearless moment was the day I moved from California to the Caribbean for medical school. I always wanted to become a doctor, but I did not get into any of the medical schools in the United States. Instead of giving up on my dream, I decided to look for an alternative route. So, I sucked it all up, went to St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies, and five years later, I have my medical degree and I’m finishing my first year of residency in California! I don’t regret that decision, one bit. In fact, I know for sure I would’ve regretted it for the rest of my life if I let fear rule my decision.
Wow! What a story! There is nothing braver than having a passion and going for it no matter what obstacles you face. Congratulations on being back home for your residency, and thank you for sharing your story.
I am glad to have stumbled upon your fascinating blog and look forward to reading more from you 🙂
I claimed 2016 as “The year of less fear” & so far, I’m sticking by. Definitely a positive thing to proclaim and pursue.
